What is The Social Sip?
The Social Sip is a mobile frozen bar serving the San Diego community, with a handpicked selection of gourmet frozen cocktails and non-alcoholic slushies served from our mobile cart.
What types of events do you cater to?
The Social Sip is perfect for a variety of events, including work events, birthday parties, bridal showers, and more. If you’re planning a special occasion, we’d love to be part of it!
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability, especially for peak wedding and holiday seasons. A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice is preferred, but we’ll do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.
Do you offer non-alcoholic options?
All of our selections are served non-alcoholic and it is up to you to include the booze.

Can we customize the drinks?
Yes, customization is one of our specialties! We can work with you to create a custom drink that matches your event’s theme, colors, or flavor preferences. Just let us know your vision, and we’ll make it happen.
How many servings can the slushy machine provide?
Our packages can be tailored to your needs. We offer options for a set number of servings, about 75 9oz drinks or you can add on additional beverage mixing. Contact us for detailed pricing and package options.
What event size can the slushy machine handle?
Our two-barrel slushy machine can produce about 75 9oz drinks before needing to refreeze additional batches. This makes it ideal for smaller gatherings like a bridal shower, birthday party, etc.
Do you provide bartenders?
No, this is a self-serve slushy machine. For larger events such as weddings, a bartender may be hired for an additional cost.
Is there a travel fee?
We serve the San Diego area, but if your event is outside of this region, a travel fee may apply. Please contact us with your event location, and we’ll provide a personalized quote.
Do I need to supervise the machines?
Yes – for safety and to prevent damage, our machines must always have adult supervision. Please ensure children do not handle or operate them. Any damages caused by unsupervised use will be the client’s responsibility.
What do you need from us on the day of the event?
We’ll need access to electricity to power our slushy machines. We also require a flat, stable area to set up our mobile bar. Other than that, just relax and enjoy your event—we’ll take care of the rest!
How long does it take to set up and break down?
Our setup usually takes about 1 hour before the event, and breakdown takes about 1 hour afterward. We’ll coordinate with you to ensure everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
What if the weather is bad?
Since we operate outdoors, we always have a backup plan in case of bad weather. We can discuss options such as a tent or indoor setup to keep the party going, rain or shine!
How do I book The Social Sip for my event?
Booking is easy! Just reach out to us through our contact form and we’ll get started on creating the perfect package for your event. A deposit is required to secure your date.
Looking to book just the cart?
We rent out our gorgeous cart without the slushy machine. It can be used for a champagne cart, hot cocoa bar, cigar bar, bartender monitored bar, etc. The options are endless! Please reach out with your event details and your intended use for the cart, and we will provide you with a customized quote!
How long does the machine take to freeze?
This depends on a few factors: Weather, alcohol ratios and access to the venue. Please allow up to 60 minutes for the machines to slush. On the day of your event we will call you 30 mins prior to arriving. We will arrive 2-3 hours before your event to ensure everything is perfect.
Is alcohol included?
We do not provide alcohol for cocktails due to licensing.
We will send through a detailed list of recommended alcohol to add to your chosen cocktail.
Are your slushy mixes dye free?
Yes! Our slushy mixes are completely dye free and made with organic ingredients. That means no artificial colors and only the good stuff- perfect for kids, adults, and anyone looking for a cleaner, more natural option.
What happens if we run out of slushy mix before the end of the event?
Please do not add your own mix to the cocktail machines. The slushy mix is very specific as it contains sugar that solidifies and makes the contents frozen. It is essential that the ratios are correct as it will damage the machines or possibly not freeze if the ratios are not correct. Please refrain from putting anything in the machines that is not the specific alcohol (and amount of alcohol) or you may be liable for damages.
If you are worried you may run out of slushy mix, we have offer refills for an additional cost.This must be organized prior to your event.
